Liberated Muse is a multi-disciplinary artist collective presenting music, theatre, spoken word and films that highlight the experiences and stories of people of the African diaspora. Liberated Muse's work also focuses on the work of women who have used their platform for social justice. Founded and led by Washington DC native, playwright/performing artist Dr. Khadijah Ali-Coleman, Liberated Muse Arts Group has been transforming spaces into art places since 2008. Liberated Muse is fiscally sponsored by the nonprofit Black Writers for Peace and Social Justice, Inc.
